HostingBuff is run by sysadmins who still manage real production game servers. We read every message, we fix broken guides fast, and we genuinely want to know what you want us to write next.
01 // Which channel should I use?
Pick the address that matches what you need — it routes your message to whoever can act on it fastest.
| Type of message | Typical response | |
|---|---|---|
| General questions, guide feedback | [email protected] | Under 48 hours |
| Broken link, out-of-date command, typo | [email protected] | Under 24 hours |
| Tutorial request | [email protected] | 72 hours |
| Press, partnerships, sponsored content | [email protected] | 3–5 business days |

When reporting a broken guide, paste the page URL, the exact command or step that failed, the OS you are on (e.g. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS / KVM 4), and the full error message. You will get a faster and better fix.
02 // Request a guide
Is there a game, panel, or workflow that nobody has written a clean guide for? Tell us. We prioritise topics based on search demand, gaps in existing content, and whether we can test it on a live server ourselves. Include: the game/tool name, the OS (Linux / Windows), the pain point you hit, and links to the bad tutorials you had to piece together instead.
03 // Frequently asked before you email
Do you offer paid support or managed hosting?
No. HostingBuff is a content and tools site, not a hosting company. For managed hosting we recommend Nitrado. For a VPS with full control we recommend Hostinger KVM 4 plus Pterodactyl or AMP.
Can I republish your guide on my blog / wiki / Discord?
Short quotes with a link back — yes, no need to ask. Full republishing — email us first. See our terms of use.
I followed your guide exactly and my server will not start.
Every guide has a troubleshooting section at the bottom — start there. If your exact error is not listed, email [email protected] with the page URL, your OS, and the full terminal output. We add new fixes to the troubleshooting section so the next person solves it immediately.
Can we buy a banner or a top-pick spot?
No. Hosting recommendations are based on the game’s real resource requirements and the provider’s real performance — not on who pays the most commission. That is the entire point of the site.
What response time can I actually expect?
Under 48 hours for most messages, often same-day. If you have not heard back in 4 business days, the email probably went to spam — try again with a different subject line.
04 // Copy-paste reporting template
Copy this into your email body and fill it in — fastest possible fix:

What actually happened: ...

05 // About the team
HostingBuff is a small team of people who have been running game servers since the early Source-engine days — TF2 community servers, Rust community wipes, Minecraft SMPs, ARK clusters, you name it. We write the guides we wish we had when we started, and we keep them maintained for as long as the games are alive. We are based in the Netherlands and operate in English and Dutch.
