HostingBuff is run by one person — Keishin. If you email, you reach me directly. No ticket queue, no AI auto-responder, no "your case is important to us" templates. I'll either help, or tell you honestly that I can't.

01 // Email

The fastest way to reach me is by email:

contact@hostingbuff.com

I read every email. I reply to every email that has a real question or feedback. Replies usually land within 48 hours on weekdays. Weekends are slower — I'm probably running my own servers.

02 // What to write about

  • Hosting questions — "Which provider for X game with Y players?" I'll give you a real opinion, not a sales pitch.
  • Broken guides — If a command in one of my guides doesn't work, tell me. I'll test it the same day and fix it.
  • Out-of-date info — Game patches change requirements. If something here looks wrong against current docs, flag it.
  • Suggestions — Missing a guide for a game you run? Want a tool added? Drop a line.
  • Partnerships — Hosting provider, panel maintainer, or tooling author? Open to honest collaboration. Not interested in pay-for-positive-review.

03 // What not to write about

  • SEO/link-building outreach — Auto-deleted. Save your time and mine.
  • Guest post offers — Closed. Every guide here is written by me from a real Linux terminal.
  • Sponsored content — Not sold. Affiliate links are disclosed and earned, not pay-to-play.

04 // About Keishin

I've been running dedicated game servers for 18 years — started with a Counter-Strike 1.6 server on a shared box, ended up administering Mordhau, Rust, Minecraft, ARK, FiveM, CS2, TF2, and SoF2 servers across more than ten different hosting providers.

HostingBuff started because every "best game server hosting" article I read was either an SEO regurgitation of provider press releases or a referral-link farm. I wanted a place where every command in a guide was actually run, every config field was actually tested, and every host I recommended was one I'd run a real server on.

The site stays free because affiliate referrals from a small number of hosts cover hosting and time. Recommendations are based on what works, not on commission rates.

For the full background — experience, currently running, editorial principles, and the catalog of guides I've written — see the full author profile →

05 // Social

HostingBuff is intentionally not on social media. No Twitter, no TikTok, no LinkedIn brand page. The signal-to-noise ratio on social isn't worth the time. If you want to talk, email is the channel.

Note

If your email needs technical context (logs, configs, error output), please paste them as plain text in the email body or attach as .txt. I don't open random ZIP attachments — standard sysadmin paranoia.
